Aerotowing with a twist!

Aerotowing Thumb

We have been practicing aerotowing at our flying field since last summer, and today we felt ready to raise the stakes a bit. Towing a glider to 500 meters is quite strait forward,- keep the wings of glider level, and let the tow plane dictate the direction. Surprise XVI - RFM (Updated!)

Surprise XVI, also referred to as S16, is a reincarnation of the previous Surprises optimized particularly for F5B competitions. Flying buddy, Øystein, used to fly a S14 and it was after I tested his plane I totally fell in love with its fantastic wide flight envelope and performance! Add a comment

Another Challenger II from EMHW!

Challenger ThumbsThis marks the beginning of a long build thread featuring the Exclusiv Modellbau Pitts Challenger II 50%. With its scale of 1:2 it is amongst the largest model aircraft you can buy. It is a project that requires both skill and patience, but seeing this model getting airborne will be extremely awarding. Add a comment

After checking out what was available in the second hand market I found the Ascot F3B model which had previously been in the hands of a couple of other club members.
